Hi.

Welcome to my blog.  I document my adventures in travel, lifestyle, and food.  The best is yet to come!

Silent Movie

Silent Movie

If you haven't been and looking for something different, especially if you're visiting the OC from out of town and near Disneyland, here's a recommendation.  Whether on a lunch break, grabbing a cup of coffee, or taking time out for the day, encapsulated under the beautiful architecture, the onetime orange packing house in Anaheim is a gem in the heart of Orange County.

Along the west entrance on Anaheim Blvd, there's a small dark room about the size of a large walk in closet that has been renovated to a film room called, "The Film Farm", projecting classic silent movies to the modest sized audience.  While taking food photos in the adjoining larger room recently, I heard laughter and smiling faces exit from the tiny room throughout the day, and overheard one father smiling and asking his two excited children, "Wasn't that great?  Can you believe that's how people used to watch movies?"

The Packing District with the wide selections of international food offered and the ambiance is a nice escape and a hip place for a date.  You can go from Indian food, sushi, or American and finish off with coffee and French pastry or chill at the bar with a cold one.  Parking is the usual So Cal not so fun and can be a challenge during peak hours, but you can always valet park.
